Verniece Jean  Stevens (Sandefer)
Verniece died Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Levelland, Texas She was born February 8, 1938 in Morton to Walter Lee and Evelyn Viola (Hall) Sandefer. She married Edwin Myrl Stevens in Levelland, Texas on March 18, 1967.

Background:
Verniece was a lifetime member of the Morton community. She was a bookkeeper and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Morton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents; a son, Dennis Brown; five brothers and one sister.


Survivors:
Survivors include, four daughters, Barbara Hope of Auburn, Washington, Linda Whittaker and her husband, Tim of Electric City, Washington, Donna Long of Lubbock, Texas, and Diann Grant and her husband, William of Whiteface, Texas; three sisters, Ruby Pugh of Midland, Texas, Rose Nichols of Enochs, Texas and Pat Davis of Amarillo, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
