Obituary for Calvin O. Baker

Calvin O.  Baker
Calvin died August 27, 2014 in Sudan. He was born March 6, 1925 in Chillicothe, Texas to Osa Oree and Martha Mae (Walser) Baker. He married Peggy Kent in Muleshoe, Texas on January 18, 1947.

Background:
Calvin moved to Sudan from Chillicothe, Texas in 1934. He served in the United States Marine Air Corp. during World War II. He was a farmer. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dexter Baker, and two great-grandsons, Logan Provence and Cooper Chase.


Survivors:
Survivors include his wife, Peggy; a son, Corley Baker and his wife, Susan of Sudan, Texas; three daughters, Sheila Nations and her husband, Tom of Levelland, Texas, Sharron Wood and her husband, Billy of Plainview, Texas and Jeanne Provence and her husband, Damon of Sudan, Texas; a sister, Mildred “PeeWee” Lance of Sudan, Texas; a brother, Billy Baker of Amarillo, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Danette, Doug, Heather, Damon, Becky, Bryan, Brooke, Breanne, Crystal and Marlea; and 14 great-grandchildren, Cal, Nick, Hailey, Haven, Josh, Abby, Tristan, Tyler, Ashton, Greyson, Jaden, Preston, Zachary and Matthew.
