Funeral Services for Alfredo "Freddy" Santos, 40, of Muleshoe will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 31, 2014, at the First Assembly of God Church in Muleshoe with Reverend Jack Stone officiating. Burial will follow at the Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Freddy Santos went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Freddy died at Covenant Medical Center after an illness.

He was born on August 31, 1974 in Amherst, Texas. Freddy was the son of Manuela Santos and Raul Cruz and the late Trinidad Santos. Freddy married the love of his life, Sarah Villarreal on August 24, 1996 in Muleshoe. He was a lifetime resident of Muleshoe. He was currently employed by the City of Muleshoe in the Water Works Department.

Freddy had an exceptional love of life and a great sense of humor. He especially loved his wife, Sarah, and his pride and joy, his son, Andrew. Many knew his quick wit as he was always up for a little friendly war of words. He had an avid love for sports and was known to "try his luck" on his favorite sports teams which included the Muleshoe Mules and his Dallas Cowboys. Freddy was a common figure in the Muleshoe area, whether it was walking the community reading meters, mowing grass at the local parks, attending local sporting events or family functions. Freddy also shared his time and talents with the community as he volunteered with the local Boy Scout Troop 620 and was an active Mighty M Band Parent. Freddy is preceded in death by his father, Trinidad Santos and mother-in-law, Vickie Villarreal.

Survivors include his wife Sarah, a son - Andrew Santos of Canyon, two sisters- Licha Arbogast of San Juan, TX and Alma Olivarez of Pharr, TX; Two brothers- Alfredo Santos of San Juan, TX and Martin Santos of Pharr, TX; Three brothers-in-law- Jessie Villarreal Jr. of Ft Worth, TX; Michael Villarreal of Richmond, CA and Samuel Villarreal of Deming, NM, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
