Michael died December 18, 2014 in Lubbock. He was born January 31, 1948 in Muleshoe to Bruce and Mildred (Adams) Burreson.

Survivors include two sons, Timmothy Burreson and Robert Burreson; a daughter, Stephanie Burreson; a sister, Kay Taylor of Muleshoe, Texas and a brother, Stanley Burreson of Lubbock, Texas.
