Mary Beth died December 19, 2014 in Azle, Texas. She was born July 14, 1929 in Littlefield, Texas to Maurice Bertrum and Beulah Clark (Burns) Toombs. She married Merlin Thomas Roberts in Maple, Texas on November 1, 1951.

Mary Beth was a lifelong farmer. She especially loved her grandkids. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morton. Mary Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin in 2004; twin sons in 1952; her parents; a sister, Jane Vinson; and a brother, Harold Toombs.

Survivors include two sons, Stanley Roberts of Levelland, Texas and Mark Roberts of Boyd, Texas; a sister, Josephine Hines of Seminole, Texas; three grandchildren, David and Halsey Roberts, Cisco and Heather Roberts and Dakota Roberts; and six great-grandchildren.
