Emma died February 22, 2015 in Lubbock. She was born December 26, 1928 in Lubbock County to William E. and Eliza (Upchurch) Elliott. She married Donald Lee Auld in Idalou, Texas on February 25, 1961.

Emma moved from Acuff, Texas to Morton in 1942. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Morton. Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1983.

Survivors include a son, Elliott Benefield and his wife, Becky of Brownwood, Texas; two daughters, Carolyn Gentry of Abernathy, Texas and Donna Yates and her husband, Michael of Idalou, Texas; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
