Wanda died March 23, 2015 in Levelland, Texas. She was born August 13, 1927 in Fleetwood, Oklahoma to Arlie and Lora (Sanders) Gilmore. She married Barney Locke in Duncan, Oklahoma on November 5, 1942.

Wanda was a mail clerk for the United States Postal Service and she was a member of the Three-Way Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney; a son, Frankie; her parents; and a sister, Wilda Martin.

Survivors include, two sons, Ferris Locke and his wife, Diane of Portales, New Mexico and Randy Locke and his wife, Shelley of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Sharon Kindle of Levelland, Texas and Pam Wall and her husband, Hoot of Hamlin, Texas; a nephew, Ricky Martin of Terral, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
