Jimmie M.  Porter (Russell)
Mrs. Porter went home to be with her Lord in the early hours of Saturday, April 18,2015 in Lubbock, Texas.

Mrs. Porter was born to James Christopher Wollard and Rosa Mae Russell Wollard in Milford, Texas. She graduated high school in Colorado City, Texas and moved to Muleshoe where she met and married Bennie Porter. She worked for Southwestern Public Service, and later worked in the finance office at Methodist Hospital and the Texas Tech Bookstore. She dedicated her life to her families and was surrounded by them during the last year of her hard and courageous battle for life. Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Bennie Porter, four sisters, Maude Maniss, Larue Porter, Ruby Cox and Lucy Brown; one brother, Fred Wollard; three half-brothers, Oren, Lee and Gill Wollard; and her son-in-law, Gary McCurry.

Mrs. Porter is survived by her two doting daughters, Sheridan Ann McCurry, and Shauna Lynn Hoover and husband Danny; five grandchildren, Christopher McCurry, Stephen McCurry and wife Nikki, Marvin McCurry, Daniel Hoover and wife Phung, and Melissa Hoover. She has six great-grandchildren, twins, Ashleigh and Grayson McCurry, Hunter McCurry, Benjamin Hoover, Alexandra Hoover and Elijiah Hoover.
