Felipe died July 19, 2015 in Lubbock. He was born August 23, 1934 in Donna, Texas. He married Elia Estrada in Morton on April 24, 1976.

Felipe moved from Donna, Texas to Morton in 1952. He was the grounds keeper at St. Ann’s Catholic Church for several years. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and was devoted to his parish. Felipe was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include, his wife, Elia; two sons, Adrian Salazar and his wife, Maria of Austin, Texas and Lorenzo Sanchez and his wife, Stephanie of Sundown, Texas; a sister, Maria Romo of Gardendale, Texas; three brothers, Lupe Sanchez of Kileen, Texas, Jose Sanchez of Gardendale, Texas and Gillermo Sanchez of Midland, Texas; and 6 grandchildren.
