A celebration of life for Jerry Davis, age 62, of Levelland, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Morton with Shane Griffiths, Cody Griffiths and Rush Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery. There will be a family visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Ellis Funeral Home in Morton. Jerry died August 21, 2015 in Levelland. He was born May 11, 1953 in Morton, Texas to Wayne and LaVon (Cunningham) Davis.

Jerry moved to Levelland from Lubbock in 2002. He loved to play guitar, and played in many bands. He treasured family and had many, many friends. Jerry was a member of the Bledsoe Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne.

Survivors include, his mother, LaVon; two sons, Philip Davis of Houston, Texas and Travis Davis of Lubbock, Texas; his companion, Cindy Love of Levelland, Texas; two sisters, Henri Joplin and her husband, Marty of Lubbock, Texas and Glorietta Levens and her husband, Jackie of Morton, Texas; two brothers, Terry Davis and his wife, Sherri of Mustang, Oklahoma and Francie Davis and his wife, Leesa of Bledsoe, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and his Boston Terrier, Patty.

The family suggests memorials be sent to First Baptist Church in Morton, 202 SE First Street, Morton, Texas, 79346.
