Chapel Service for Murlene Tipton Age 101, of Morton, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Morton with Joey Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery. Murlene died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Morton. She was born October 15, 1914 in Boone County, Arkansas to Tone and Lucy Young. She married J.D. Tipton on March 25, 1952.
Murlene owned several rental properties in Morton. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.D.; her parents; two sisters; one brother; and one granddaughter.
Survivors include her son, Joe Tone Daniel of Morton; her daughter, Twila Deen Bolton and her husband, Michael B of Deming, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Jeffery Bolton and Shandala Daniel; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
