Obituary for James A Kemp

Graveside service for James A. Kemp, age 90, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Lazbuddie Cemetery with Pastor Jerad Middaugh and Randy Burris officiating. James died Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Muleshoe. He was born May 4, 1926 in Inadale, Texas to James I and Cora (Bramlett) Kemp. He married Wanda Burris in Clovis, New Mexico on June 14, 1953.

James was a blacksmith in the Muleshoe community. He was an avid fisherman, and loved driving a tractor and being on the farm. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Muleshoe. James is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Ruby Evans and Ida Mae Shofner; and his brothers, Jack Kemp and Frank Kemp.

James is survived by his wife, Wanda; his son, Larry Kemp and his wife, Connie of Lazbuddie, Texas; his three daughters, Priscilla Olsen of Branson, Missouri, Lena Gartin and her husband, Gary Don of Muleshoe, Texas and Janice Middaugh and her husband Jerald of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
