Church Service for Jimmie Studdard Age 67, of Levelland, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, October 28, 2016 at Missionary Baptist Church in Morton, Texas. Jimmie died Monday, October 24, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas after an extended illness. He was born February 26, 1949 in Lubbock, Texas to J.T. and Alta Mae (Singleton) Studdard. He married Vanessa Windham in Morton, Texas on October 5, 1968.

Jimmie was an auto mechanic for many years, and was a business partner with his dad, J.T. at Jay’s Garage in Morton. The business celebrated 75 years before closing in 2014. Jimmie was an avid fisherman, hunter and arrowhead hunter. He is preceded in death by his parents and his infant brother, Jerry Don.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Vanessa; his two daughters, Melissa Blackstock and her husband, Len of Fort White, Florida and LaHuana Studdard of Levelland, Texas; his son, Jody Studdard and his wife, BB of Shallowater, Texas; his brother, Ronnie Studdard and his wife, Gloria of Sundown, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, with one to be born in January 2017; and 2 nieces.

The family suggests memorials be sent to First Missionary Church, 102 East Taylor, Morton, Texas, 79346.
