Obituary for Neal Edward Caswell

Neal Edward Caswell, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at his home in Bailey County, Texas. The family will have a private gathering to celebrate his life at a later date. He was born on May 27, 1932 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Charlie Douglas and Bessie May (Walls) Caswell. He married Norma McAteer in Hollis on September 28, 1951.

Neal was a farmer and rancher most of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Neal is preceded in death by his parents eight brothers, Virgil, Herbert, Charlie, Clarence, Odis, Earl, Wendall, and Norman. Three sisters, Gracie, Ruby and Vera.

Neal is survived by his wife Norma. His two daughters Sharron Spradley of Anton, Texas, and Gennie Shannon and her husband, Rusty of Andrews, Texas. His son Pete Caswell and his wife Belinda of Muleshoe, Texas. His sister Auvanell Parrish of Brownfield, Texas. His brother Olane Caswell and his wife LaDoyce of Brownfield, Texas. Seven grandchildren, Laurie Stelter and her husband, Mark of Lubbock, Texas, Justin Spradley and his wife, Cryctal of Lubbock, Texas, Dillon Spradley and his wife, Ashley of Lubbock, Texas, Kyla Shannon of Lubbock, Texas, Shad Shannon of Abilene, Texas, Samantha Hoover and her husband, Nathan of Lubbock, Texas, and Jake Caswell and his wife, Rebecca of Muleshoe, Texas. Seven Great grandchildren, Bailey and Brinly Stelter, Saige and Briar Spradley, Hartley Spradley, Savannah Hoover and Chase Caswell.
