Roger Haberer died Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Lubbock. He was born December 23, 1921 in Dimmitt, Texas to Roy and Ruth (Cowsart) Haberer. He married Joy Saunders in Earth on March 16, 1946.

Roger served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a farmer and rancher in the Earth community for many years. Roger was a member of the Earth Lions Club, the Earth Senior Citizens and the VFW in Olton. He was a Deacon and trustee of the First Baptist Church in Earth and served on the Springlake School Board. Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Joy in 2015; his parents; a sister, Minta; and a brother, Phillip.

Roger is survived by his son, Davey Haberer and his wife, Debbie of Kingsland, Texas; his daughter, Camille Lewis and her husband, Richard of Lubbock, Texas; his sister, Betty Joy Worrell of Jonesboro, Georgia; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
