Obituary for LM "Chunk" Smith

LM "Chunk"  Smith
LM "Chunk" Smith died Thursday, August 3, 2017 in Amherst, Texas. He was born December 8, 1934 in Labuddie, Texas to Leonard and Eula (Darling) Smith. He married Jeanell Floyd in Carson City, Nevada on June 16, 1957.
Background:
Chunk graduated from Lazbuddie High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Texas Free Masons, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lazbuddie. Chunk loved farming, he grew various crops for Campbell Soups, Gerber Baby Foods, Baumer Foods, and Crystal Foods in New Orleans. He aslo grew various varieties of flower bulbs. Chunk loved to be at the lake fishing, he was the guy with jeans, boots, and a cowboy hat. Chunk was always very adventurous, he lived his life with this philosophy: “ Never ask anyone to do anything you would not do yourself.” Chunk was a true peacekeeper . Chunk was proceeded in death by his parents, one son, Keelan Terrell Smith, one sister, Faye Lamke, three brothers, LaVirn Smith, Gene Smith, Dan Smith, and one grandson, Joshua Fred.

Survivors:
Chunk is survived by his wife Jeanell, one son , Keihm Smith and wife Judy of Lazbuddie, Texas, two daughters; Debbie Smith of Lazbuddie, Texas, Krista Wilson and husband Andy of Muleshoe, Texas, two sisters; Joy Runyon of Earth, Texas Kayan Handley of Lubbock, Texas, one brother, Jerry Lee Smith and wife Donna of Clovis, New Mexico, three sister-in-laws; Mary Smith of Overton, Nevada, Rosemary Smith of Lazbuddie, Texas, Betty Smith of Muleshoe Texas, 6 Grandchildren; Sterling Smith and wife Trish, Madison Nichols and husband Clay, Morgan Smith, Keenan Wilson and wife Kenzie, Drew and Chancee Wilson, and 2 Great Grandchildren; Lily and Elizabeth Smith.
