Obituary for Clifton Venes Crabtree
Clif Crabtree died Sunday, September 17, 2017 in Muleshoe. He was born February 3, 1934 in Adrian, Texas to Otho Cllifton and Mamie Rosetta (Whitten) Crabtree. He married Jimmy Dudley in Plainview, Texas on February 22, 1958.
Clif had lived in the Muleshoe community since 1970. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired farmer and implement salesman, selling John Deere and Allis Chalmers farm equipment. Clif was a Free Mason and a Baptist. He loved being a Padad and Poppy. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne Crabtree and Morris “Cowboy” Crabtree; and a sister, Marjorie Cooper.
Clif is survived by his wife, Jimmy; his son, Bruce Crabtree of Muleshoe, Texas; his two daughters, Cheryl Lewis and her husband, Kirk of Muleshoe, Texas and Annette Orozco and her husband, Rudy of Muleshoe, Texas; three sisters, Rosie Shoup of Cameron Oklahoma, Mary Taylor of San Antonio, Texas and Shalon Tillotson of Amarillo, Texas; a brother, Ronnie “Toad” Crabtree of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Oneita Wagnon Senior Citizen Center, PO Box 292, Muleshoe, Texas, 79347
