Philip M. Barker died Saturday, October 15, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born October 6, 1954 in Morton, Texas to Humphrey (H.B.) and Dorothy (Tarver) Barker.
Philip graduated from Morton High School in 1973. He graduated from Baylor University in 1977 with a BA in Journalism and Public Relations. He spent time in retail sales and was in the Indian Art business. Philip is preceded in death by his father, Hump Barker and a brother, Douglas Barker.
Philip is survived by his mother, Dorothy Barker of Morton, Texas and his two brothers, Danny Barker and his wife, Beverly of Lubbock, Texas and John Barker and his wife, Jamie of Morton, Texas.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Dean McGee Eye Institute, 608 Stanton L. Young Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104.
