Nora LaMoin Williams died peacefully surrounded by her family September 16, 2018, at her home in Farwell, Texas at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 20 days. She was born on October 26, 1928 in Cooperton, Oklahoma to Austin and Joy Jones.

When she was 16 years old, she moved with her family from Oklahoma to Farwell, Texas. She was excited to attend Farwell High School where she was a cheerleader and played basketball. She graduated in 1947 and was the recipient of the Loving Cup. She attended Eastern New Mexico College where she was selected as Beauty Queen her freshman year. LaMoin was happily married to Bert Williams on May 28, 1948, who was her partner in life for 70 years. She spent her time as a homemaker raising her 5 children. She had a passion for gardening, sewing, cooking, canning, fishing, and traveling in their motor home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Farwell and she cherished her many close friends from her Sunday school class. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha for 47 years where she enjoyed spending many hours in philanthropic service. LaMoin was known for her quick wit, infectious smile, dry sense of humor, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Joy and Austin Jones; and her sons Barry and Eric Williams.
