Chapel service for Ramiro Leal, age 84, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Muleshoe with Father Sergio Leal of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Ramiro died Thursday, January 19, 2017 in Muleshoe. He was born August 14, 1932 in Weslaco, Texas to Hector Justino and Librada (Garza) Leal.

Ramiro had lived in Muleshoe since 1959. He served in the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. He was a mechanic and maintenance engineer for Leal’s Tortilla Factory. Ramiro is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rudy and Jesse Leal; and two sisters, Aurora Gonzalez and Velia Villanueva.

Ramiro is survived by his three sons, Arthur Leal of Long Beach, California, Michael Bocage of Hayward, California and Mark Bocage of Hayward, California; his daughter, Patricia Kusumi of Long Beach, California; two sisters, Evangelina Silva of Fresno, Calilfornia and Janie Silva of Fresno, California; one brother, Everett Leal of Vaca Ville California; and numerous grandchildren.
