M.T. died November 28, 2014 in Levelland, Texas. He was born November 20, 1927 in Morton to Enoch Truman and Bennie Eunice (Spickard) Smith. He married Mari Jo Kasinger in Portales, New Mexico on January 29, 1951.

Background:
M.T. moved to Morton from Yoakum County, Texas in 1989. He was a farmer and a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Morton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mari Jo in November 2013, his parents and a sister, Mary Lee Carter.


Survivors:
Survivors include, two sons, Greggory Lance Smith and his wife, Denise Kay of Morton, Texas and Aaron Craig Smith and his wife, Annette of Sundown, Texas; five sisters, Mildred Eckstin of Lubbock, Texas, Maxine Burns of Abilene, Texas, Viola Hawthorne of Lubbock, Texas, Dorthy Baird of Midland, Texas and Bennie O’Brien of Morton, Texas; and three grandchildren, Leanna Lisa Wegh, Micah Lance Smith and Laura Danielle York.
