Obituary for Adela Estrada (Serrano)
Adela Serrano de Estrada, age 81, of Texico, New Mexico, passed peacefully on Wednesday March 2, 2022 in Lubbock Texas. She was born October 12, 1940, in Jaralillo Nieves Zacatecas, to Isaias Serrano and Guadalupe Hernandez.
Adela had a love for cooking for her family and close friends. Everyone that knew her can relate to her amazing cooking. Her grandkids loved her tamales and always bragged on how hers were the best. The other thing that Adela loved was gardening. She grew the most beautiful flowers in her home and tried her best to teach her daughters to have a green thumb. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church in Texico as well as Hilos De Plata. Adela is preceded in death by her parents Isaias Serrano and Guadalupe Hernandez, two brothers, Domitilo Serrano and Jose Maria Serrano and a daughter-in-law Maria Elena Estrada.
Adela is survived by her husband, Antero Estrada of Texico, NM; one sister Maria Serrano of Texico, NM; five sons, Antero Estrada of Farwell TX, Luis Estrada (Rosa) of Texico, NM, Aurelio Estrada of Farwell, TX, Jaime Estrada (Veronica) of Hobbs, NM and Manuel Estrada of Clovis, NM; three daughters. Indolina Meza (Carlos) of Farwell, TX, Sylvia Perez (Sergio) of Farwell, TX and Esperanza Martinez (Luis) of Farwell, TX; 32 Grandkids; and 23 Great-Grandchildren.
