Arminda Hernandez Orozco died Friday, January 4, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 14 days. She was born May 20, 1934 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico to Juan and Mercedez (Delacruz) Hernandez. She married Jose S. Orozco in Haskell, Texas in 1951.

Arminda worked at Leals Restaurant for many years. She loved to crochet. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe and was also a member of the Guadalupanas. She is preceded in death by her parents and three grandchildren, Diznee Orozco, Drew Hodge and Robert Rodriguez, Jr.

Arminda is survived by her husband, Jose; her four sons, Edward Orozco and his wife, Teresa of Muleshoe, Texas, William Orozco of Muleshoe, Texas, Hector Orozco of Canyon, Texas and Ismael Orozco of Amarillo, Texas; her seven daughters, Maria Garcia and her husband, Alex of Muleshoe, Texas, Rose Cuellas and her husband, Jose of Canyon, Texas, Angelica Toscano and her husband, Henry of Muleshoe, Texas, Fernanda Norman and her husband, Mack of Muleshoe, Texas, Ramona Reyna and her husband, Jerry of Amarillo, Texas, Marisa Gonzalez and her husband, Joseph of Muleshoe, Texas and Devnie Orozco of Muleshoe, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
