Obituary for Billy Bob Landers

Billy Bob Landers, age 64, of Conroe, Texas, passed from this life into his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Conroe. He was born May 17, 1956 in Plainview, Texas to Bob and Nina (Lewis) Landers. He married Sarah Jean King in Conroe on January 24, 2014.

Billy was a 1974 graduate of Palestine High School. He served two years in the U.S. Air Force with a rating of Specialist E-4. He later attended TSTC in Waco, Texas, where he studied Construction Management. For many years, Billy and his late wife, Sarah Jean, were active in the ministry of working with homeless and their needs They helped not only in providing for their physical needs but also in bringing the word of God to countless people in the Conroe area. Billy loved his family and he loved God. He will be missed by not only his family, but by his friends in the homeless ministry and the ones they served. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Jean, who recently passed away on December 29, 2020; his father, Bob; his two sisters, Kristy Landers and Kathy Landers Bostick; his brother-in-law, Jason Bostick; his grandparents, Arthur and Clara Landers, Barnie & Artie “Jack” Lewis; and his uncles, Bob Lewis and Ray Bain.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Heather Landers; his step-son, Anthony Hodges; his grandson, Sabastian Carter Landers, all of Conroe, Texas; his mother, Nina Landers of Muleshoe, Texas; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
