Bunt Kitchens, age 79, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Friday, April 2, 2021 in Muleshoe. He was born December 5, 1941 in Muleshoe to Ira Lee and Berta (Glenn) Kitchens. He married Ruth Kimbrell in Vernon, Texas on September 2, 1966.
Bunt trained barrel horses and race horses. He also rode bulls and roped calves. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Glenna Polson and Charlie Kay Lipkie.
Bunt is survived by his wife, Ruth of Muleshoe, Texas; his son, Kody Kitchens and his wife Katherine of Muleshoe, Texas; his daughter, Angie Lewis of Muleshoe, Texas; his sister, Gail Goodwin of Festus, Missouri; his brother, Larry Kitchens of Palestine, Texas; his seven grandchildren; and his two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Children’s Miracle Network, 602 Indiana Avenue, Lubbock, Texas, 79415.
