Chago Vasquez, age 59, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Muleshoe. He was born July 16, 1962 in Linares Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Isauro and Consuelo (Rodriguez) Vasquez. He married Maria Reyes Cabrera in Linares on October 22, 1988.
Chago enjoyed working with his goats, roosters and other livestock. He loved his horses and horse races. He was a great cook, and a handyman, who could fix just about anything. Chago was an avid Denver Broncos fan, as well as a devoted fan of the Houston Astros. He liked boxing, as well. Most of all, Chago was a family man. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margarite Gutierrez; and a brother Hugo Vasquez.
Chago is survived by his wife, Maria; his son, Moises Vasquez of Houston, Texas; his two daughters, Lizset Smith and her husband, Brad of Pampa, Texas and Jennifer Vasquez of Muleshoe, Texas; his four sisters, Rosa Lucio and her husband, Leopoldo of Mission, Texas, Juana Vasquez of Muleshoe, Texas; Maria Elizabeth Vasquez and her husband, Guadalupe Blanco of Muleshoe, Texas and Consuelo Facundo and her husband, Joe of Harlingen, Texas; his six brothers, Israel Vasquez and his wife, Brenda of Muleshoe, Texas, Francisco Vasquez and his wife, Ana of Amherst, Texas, Marco Antonio Vasquez and his wife, Angelica of Muleshoe, Texas, Alberto Vasquez and his wife, Lorena of Snyder, Texas, Joel Vasquez of Muleshoe, Texas and Rolondo Vasquez of Michigan; and his two precious grandchildren, Kendalee Moreno and Madilyn Smith.
