Obituary for Charles "Jake" Leslie Saylor

Jake Saylor, age 89, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Muleshoe. He was born June 15, 1931 in Phoenix, Arizona to Norman and Mamie (Wallace) Saylor. He married June Free in West Camp, Texas on December 5, 1954.

Jake served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He farmed in the Muleshoe area for many years. Jake loved spending time in Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Holly Saylor; two sisters, Louise Fullerton and Norma Dunbar; and one sister-in-law, Bennie Sue Free.

Jake is survived by his wife, June; his three sons, David Saylor and his wife, Patty of Clovis, New Mexico, John Saylor and his wife, Diane of Muleshoe, Texas and Scott Saylor and his wife, Colleen of Muleshoe, Texas; his six grandchildren, Julie Saylor, Blair Oscarsson, Kristal Walker, Ryan Saylor, Jordan Saylor and Hayden Saylor; and his seven great-grandchildren.
