Obituary for Charles L. Waggoner

Charles Waggoner, age 83, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Monday, April 26, 2021 in Muleshoe. He was born October 2, 1937 in O'Donnell, Texas to Lloyd and Alpha (Allen) Waggoner. He married Shirley Black in Muleshoe on May 4, 1955.

Throughout his career building cotton gins, Charles traveled to Egypt, Africa and Peru, amongst all of his travels within the states. He enjoyed baseball and coaching his boys, when they were young. As an avid Texas fan, Charles was always taking his grandkids to watch the Horns play. Win or lose, he was always cheering them on. His love for his family was evident, especially the grands and great-grands. Charles is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Kayla Everett; and two brothers, Marvin Waggoner and Marion Waggoner.

Charles is survived by his wife, Shirley; his three sons, Danny Waggoner and his wife, Tena of Midland, Texas, Eddie Waggoner of Muleshoe, Texas and Randy Waggoner and his wife, Patti of Muleshoe, Texas; his daughter, Cammie Turnbow and her husband, Rodney of Lubbock, Texas; his brother, Gerald Waggoner and his wife Tommy of Tuscola, Texas; his eight grandchildren, Steven Turnbow, Bryan Turnbow, Devin Waggoner, Chance Waggoner, Megan Pasco, Jill Waggoner, Jesse Waggoner and Joe Waggoner; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
