Obituary for Connie Dye (Romo)

Connie Dye, age 83, of Muleshoe, Texas, departed this life on Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Clovis, New Mexico. A private service will be scheduled in Denver City at a later date. Connie was born March 22, 1937 in Ruby, Arizona to Guadalupe Martell. She graduated high school in Phoenix, Arizona. Connie met her beloved “Honey”, George Dye in San Diego, California. They married on April 27, 1962. After George retired from the Navy in 1973, the family settled in Denver City, Texas. Connie had a long career in health care. She was Dr Bodinr Thepchatri’s office nurse for 20 years. After retirement, Connie and George traveled the country in their RV. With thousands of miles journeyed and many memories made, they settled in Muleshoe, Texas with their daughter, Catherine.

Connie is preceded in death by her husband, George Dye in September of this year; her mother, Guadalupe Martell; her sons, Anthony Charles Scott Dye and George “Corky” Dye Jr.; her sisters, Angie Metsopolas, Lena Herrera, Alice and Yolanda; her brothers, Richard and Rudy Romo; her great-granddaughter, Isabell Richardson; and her great-grandson, Titus Garn.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Cather Robertson and her husband, Shannon of Muleshoe, Texas; her son, John Dye and his wife, Amy of North Pole, Alaska; her five grandchildren, Amber Richardson and her husband, Wesley Welch of Muleshoe, Texas, Colt Richardson and his wife, Alisha of Clovis, New Mexico, Zachary Robertson and his fiancé, Jaki Huerta of Muleshoe, Texas, Sonya Garn and her husband, Josiah of North Pole, Alaska, and Jona Catiller-Collins and her husband, Doug of Deter, Georgia; and her eleven great-grandchildren, Aubrey Welch, William Richard Welch, Noah Spell, Hadassah Garn, Judah Garn, Ezekiel Garn, Israel Garn, Veronica Scoti, Emmett Catiller-Collins, Aria Catiller-Collins, and Julliette Catiller-Collins.
