Consuelo "Dona Chelo" Vazquez, age 83, of Muleshoe, Texas died Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born September 16. 1937 in Bruni, Texas to Emilio and Adela (Ramirez) Rodriguez. She married Isauro Vasquez in Mexico.
Consuelo enjoyed going to church and was an excellent cook. She also loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Isauro; a son, Hugo Vasquez; two daughters, Margarita Guiterrez and Estella Vasquez; one grandson, Frank Reyes; two brothers; and three sisters.
Consuelo is survived by her seven sons, Francisco Vasquez of Amherst, Texas, Isauro Vasquez Jr. of Muleshoe, Texas, Israel Vasquez of Muleshoe, Texas, Marcos Vasquez of Muleshoe, Texas, Albert Vasquez of Snyder, Texas, Joel Vasquez of Muleshoe, Texas and Rolando Vasquez of Michigan; her four daughters, Rosa Lucio of Muleshoe, Texas, Juana Vasquez of Muleshoe, Texas, Consuelo Facundo of Michigan and Elizabeth Reyes of Muleshoe, Texas; her sister, Orelia of Mexico; her brother, Antonio of Mexico, 51 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
