Obituary for Dale Burden
Dale Burden, age 90, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born October 31, 1930 in Greer County, Oklahoma to Joseph Earl and Ola Jane (Denton) Burden. He married Janette Sterling in Clovis, New Mexico on November 11, 1954.
Dale served in the US Army during World War II. He owned and operated Dale’s Gearhead Repair in Muleshoe for many years. Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church in Muleshoe. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janette; a son, Roger Dale Burden; five sisters; and 3 brothers.
Dale is survived by his son, Mark Burden and his wife, Mellissa of Brock, Texas; his daughter, Gina Smith and Jim Swanner of Lubbock, Texas; his four grandchildren, Madison Nichols and her husband, Clay, Tyler Burden, Morgan Smith and Ryan Burden; and one great-grandson, Grayson Nichols.
