Obituary for Donald Watkins
Donald Watkins, age 97, of Farwell, Texas died October 18, 2020 in Friona, Texas. He was born July 28, 1923 in Canute, Oklahoma to George and Nina (Rea) Watkins. He married Lila Garrett in San Antonio, Texas on April 5, 1990.
Donald owned Watkins Photography Studio and had a produce company. After those adventures, he began his farming career. He is preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Gilbert Watkins and Leonard Watkins.
Donald is survived by his wife, Lila; his four sons, Scott Watkins of Watertown, Wisconsin, Rory Howard and his wife, Susie of Dallas, Texas, Rocky Howard and his wife, Nikki of Portales, New Mexico and Billy Howard and his wife, Brenda of Talihina, Oklahoma; his four daughters, Sandy Howard and her husband, Grubb of Clovis, New Mexico, Jill Bonner of Amarillo, Texas, Tresban Giron and her husband, Orlando of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Tracy Velasquez and her husband, Bert of Amarillo, Texas; his 20 grandchildren; his 42 great-grandchildren; and his 3 great-great-grandchildren.
