Dorace Jane Kelley passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 88 years, 3 months adn 5 days. She was born July 16, 1930 in Pilot Point, Texas to V. T. (Bud) and Sallie Gooch. She moved with her family to Earth in 1939 and graduated from Springlake High School. She attended Draughon’s Business College in Lubbock before marrying Guy F. Kelley in Earth on October 9, 1948. They raised their family and farmed for 47 years in the Dodd community north of Earth. After Guy passed away in 1995, Jane worked in the business office of Springlake-Earth School until her retirement in 1998. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Earth and assisted with the nursery, Girl’s Auxiliary, and the church history committee. She was also active in her children’s lives and was a supporter of Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and community Little League. Jane loved spending time with and hearing about the antics and activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Guy Francis Kelley, her parents V.T. and Sallie Gooch, her sister Joyce Seay, and one grandson Jared Cade Kelley.

She is survived by son Gary and his wife Judy of Canyon, Texas, son John and his wife Shelley of Ransom Canyon, Texas, and daughter Kim and her husband Danny Marriott of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren Eric (Jenni) Kelley, Michael (Jana) Kelley, Jeffrey (Noelle) Kelley, Keeli (Blake) James, Ashley (Jonathan) Griffin, and Sarah (Eric) Mclarty; great-grandchildren Emma, Ella, Mayah, Will, Isaiah, Joshua, Andi, Christian, Elijah, Desi, Aurora, Kayli, Ashlynn, Thea, Hogan, Lily, Jaci, Cora, Gavin and Si. She is also survived by one brother-in-law Jack Seay of Nocona.

They would also like to extend special thanks to the staff at Carillon House in Lubbock for their heart-felt care of Jane for the past several months.
