Elwanda Samantha ( McNabb died Friday, March 22, 2019 in Amherst, Texas at the age of 97 years, 3 months and 8 days. She was born December 14, 1921 in Haskell, Texas to Amzior and Rosetta Mae (Hawkins) Williams. She married Wilbur McNabb in El Paso, Texas on January 23, 1943.

Elwanda graduated from Sudan High School and was a homemaker. She loved taking care of her family and her sister’s family. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Muleshoe, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; her parents; three sisters; 3 brothers; and one daughter, Phebe Elane McNabb.

Elwanda is survived by her two sons, Chester McNabb and his wife, Naomi of North Richland Hills, Texas and Gregory McNabb and his wife, Teresa of Amherst, Texas: her three daughters, Rita Samantha Davis of Crowley, Texas, Rosetta Dupree and her husband, Joel of Buchanan Dam, Texas and Wibalene Remick and her husband, Paul of Danville, Vermont; her sister, Ann King and her husband, Bill of Fort Worth, Texas; twelve grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
