Obituary for Evelyn Ziegenfuss (Angerer)

Evelyn Ziegenfuss, age 90, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Thursday, October 27, 2022 in Lubbock. She was born January 23, 1932 in Lubbock County, Texas to John and Josephine (Peffer) Angerer. She married Edward Ziegenfuss in Lubbock on January 30, 1951.

Evelyn and her husband, Ed owned and operated Southside Gulf Station in Muleshoe, as well as Mr. Ed’s Snowcones. She loved sewing, gardening and canning. Evelyn was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a proud Catholic. She helped fry fish every year during Holy Week at the Church. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Diane Ziegenfuss; a granddaughter, Courtney McDaniel; a grandson, David Claybrook; four brothers; and three sisters.

Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Johnny Ziegenfuss and his wife, Jannie of Lubbock, Texas and James Ziegenfuss and his wife, Stephanie of Lake Livingston, Texas; her four daughters, Patsy Pierce and her husband, Roy of Selmer, Tennessee, Mary Wauson and her husband, Wayne of Muleshoe, Texas, Betty Claybrook and her husband, Rick of Wolfforth, Texas and Jenny McDaniel and her husband, Gary of Wolfforth, Texas; her thirteen grandchildren; her nineteen great-grandchildren; and her four great-great-grandchildren.
