Obituary for Florene Jones (Mayhugh)
Florene Mayhugh Jones was born March 18, 1926 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Charles Rodney Mayhugh Sr. and Lydia Campbell Mayhugh. She passed away peacefully at home in Granbury, Texas on April 19, 2019 at the age of 93 years 1 month and 1 day. She graduated from Granite High School in Granite, Oklahoma in 1943 and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Florene was married to Robert Lee Jones Jr. on May 15, 1946 until his death in 1993. She and her husband farmed and raised their family in the Lazbuddie community. She is preceded in death by her husband, her sister, Juanita Mayhugh Kirk, and her sister-in-law, Jo Addine Mayhugh.
Florene is survived by her daughter, Bobby Jo Henry (David) of Burnet, Texas; sons Bill D. Jones (Terry) of Clovis, New Mexico and John E. Jones (Becky) of Granbury, Texas; her brother, Charles Rodney Mayhugh of Muleshoe, Texas; her grandchildren, Erin Flores (Rick) of Euless, Texas; Paul Henry (April) of Austin, Texas; Katy Williams (Jason) of Clifton, Texas; Robbie Jones of Roswell, New Mexico; Joel Robert Henry (Melissa) of Manvel, Texas; Kelsey Hill (Clint) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Jeremy Jones (Shea) of Dallas, Texas. She also is survived by 20 amazing great-grandchildren: Jackson and Luke Henry; Blake, Cameron, Caroline, and Charlie Henry; Donny Black and Leighton Fisk; Sawyer, Knox, and Tripp Jones; Tara, Nolan, and Landry Flores; Seth, Kenna, Deacon, and Cohen Williams; and Asher and Lilly Hill.
