Guadalupe R. Martinez died Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Sudan, Texas at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 14 days. He was born December 1, 1947 in San Bonito, Texas to Brigedo and Francesca (Rodriguez) Martinez.

Guadalupe enjoyed volunteering with several charities. He loved spending time with his friends and family and was an avid fisherman. Guadalupe was a handy man and could do almost anything. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Teresa Garcia and Olivia Longoria.

Guadalupe is survived by his two sons, Benjamin Martinez and his wife, Cherlyn of Salt Lake City, Utah and Fabian Martinez and his wife, Yolanda of Muleshoe, Texas; his two daughters, Dora Flores and her husband, Ramon of Sudan, Texas and Emilie Martinez of Abilene, Texas; two sisters, Lourdes Rodriguez of Abilene, Texas and Maria Garza of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Ovidio Martinez of Louisiana, Jessie Martinez of Earth, Texas and Thomas Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
