Guadalupe S. Ortega died Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born December 12, 1929 in Porvenir, Chihuahua, Mexico to Crespin and Trinidad (Sanchez) Salamanca. She married Pablo Ortega in Porvenir on July 7, 1952.

Guadalupe was a homemaker and loved her grandkids and family. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Maria Salamanca.

Guadalupe is survived by her husband, Pablo; her two sons, Raul Ortega and his wife, Ruth of Sudan, Texas and Rodolfo Ortega and his wife, Cynthia of Littlefield, Texas; her three daughters, Beatriz Martinez and her husband, Nicolas of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rosalia Lucero of Ft. Worth, Texas and Silvia Escobar and her husband, Omar of Ft. Worth, Texas; her four sisters, Elvira Calderon, Eulalia Garibaldi and Elodia Salamanca all of Porvenir, Chihuahua, Mexico and Roberta Perez of Littlefield, Texas; her brother, Modesto Salamanca of Porvenir, Chihuahua, Mexico; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
