Helen Free, age 84, of Muleshoe, Texas died Saturday, June 27, 2020 in Amherst, Texas. She was born Jnauary 19, 1936 in Lanty, Arkansas to Carl and Ardeth (Blakenship) Ridling. She married Bobby Free in Farwell, Texas in 1981. A service will be held at a later date.

Helen was the former Director of Nursing at the Muleshoe Nursing Home, as well as the former Charge Nurse for Harmonee House in Amherst. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Muleshoe. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Lynn Free and Ray Ferguson; a daughter, Jennipher Murray; two sisters, Johnnie Atwood and Karla Chambers; and a granddaughter.

Helen is survived by her husband, Bobby; her three sons, Larry Free of Durant, Oklahoma, Lee Free and his wife, Anita of Bochita Oklahoma and Lance Free of Lubbock, Texas; her three daughters, Rhonda Calvery of Lubbock, Texas, Piki Widener of Lubbock, Texas and Sunny Bayless of Muleshoe, Texas; her two brothers, Jim Ridling of Montgomery, Alabama and Sonny Ridling of New Orleans, Lousiana; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
