Obituary for Herbert Ramage
Herbert "Papa" Ramage died Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Farwell, Texas. He was born November 10, 1934 in Anton, Texas to Cleburne and Pauline (Jackson) Ramage. He married Betty Routon in Clovis, New Mexico on November 1, 1956.
Herb was a farmer and rancher in the Muleshoe area, as well as a successful businessman. He served on the Muleshoe Area Hospital District board for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glenn Ramage.
Herb is survived by his wife, Betty; his two sons, Johnny Ramage of San Antonio, Texas and Gary Ramage and his wife, Kay of Muleshoe, Texas; his daughter, Darla O’Grady of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his sister, Margaret Akers of Dougherty, Oklahoma; his two grandchildren, Dusty Ramage and his wife, Lindsey and Chris Vaughn and his wife, Whitney; his four great-grandchildren, Rowdy Ramage, Kenadee “Sissy” Ramage, Emerson Vaughn and Haylee Vaughn; and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Oneita Wagnon Senior Citizens Center, PO Box 292, Muleshoe, Texas, 79347.
