Obituary for Horace G. Morgan
Horace G. Morgan died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Lockney, Texas at the age of 97 years and 8 months. He was born April 12, 1921 in Winters, Texas to Robert R and Lula (Hamilton) Morgan. He married Ellen Corley in Clovis, New Mexico on January 4, 1947.
Horace served during World War II in U.S. Army. He was proud to be a WWII Vet and helped build the Alcan Highway. He loved being a farmer. Horace was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ellen; his parents; his 5 sisters, Lola, Velma, Jewell, Eva and Irene; his 4 brothers, Clyde, Buster, Red and Earl.
Horace is survived by his two sons, James Morgan and his wife, Mary Ann of Lisbon Falls, Main and Dennis Morgan and his wife, Ginger of Floydada, Texas; his two daughters, Charlotte Shultz of Lubbock, Texas and Deborah Minnick of Floydada, Texas; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
