James "Jim" Knox died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in Austin, Texas at the age of 96 years, 3 months and 21 days. He was born December 26, 1922 in Lubbock, Texas to Hubert J. and Lulu (Bray) Knox.

Jim served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II. At one time, he was the longest living resident of Whiteface. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Anna Withers; and three brothers, Lawrence Knox, Walter Knox and Jack Knox.

Jim is survived by his sister, Alice Sinclair of Paige, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
