Obituary for James Meason Meason
James Meason, age 96, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Monday, February 6, 2023 in Muleshoe. He was born September 6, 1926 in Greer County, Oklahoma to Jesse James and Syvilla Hazel (Hollis) Meason. He married Ethel Lee McDaniel in Clovis, New Mexico on March 17, 1948.
James served in the U.S. Army during World War II and spent most of his life in farm sales. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lee; a son, Jimmy Lynn Meason; his parents; two brothers, Pete and Arb; and five sisters, Kitty, Laverne, Marda, Irma and Marcella.
James is survived by his four sons, Gary Eugene “Gene” Meason and his wife, Nancy, Larry Dean Meason and his wife, Linda, Ronald Lawrence Meason and his wife, Ann and Terry Don Meason and his wife, Paula; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
