Obituary for Jerry Morris

Jerry Wesley Morris, age 76, of Chandler Arizona died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Chandler. He was born April 6, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas. He married Rita Black on September 26, 1981. Services will be held at a later date.

Jerry served in the U.S. Marines. He later graduated from the University of Texas. Jerry was a police officer for 30 years. He was a liaison for the DEA and the Secret Service, and was a criminal investigator for 20 years. Jerry loved spending time with his granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Bohannon Cox; his inlaws, Ralph and Naomi Owen Black; his two sister-in-laws, Katherine McCain and Maxine Rogers; and his three brother-in-laws, Billy Black, Ronnie Black and Charles Waggoner.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Rita of Chandler, Arizona; his daughter, Tammy Hammerich of Chandler Arizona; his two granddaughters, Katarina Hammerich and Arabella Hammerich of Chandler, Arizona; his three sister-in-laws, Shirley Black Waggoner of Muleshoe, Texas, Mary Joe Black of Plainview, Texas, Donna Black of Muleshoe, Texas and Karon Murray and her husband, Charles of Frisco, Texas; his seven brother-in-laws, Lyndal Black of Muleshoe, Texas, Gaylon Black of Clovis, New Mexico, Dean Black of Muleshoe, Texas, Ricky Black and his wife, Sarah of Lazbuddie, Texas, Rex Black and his wife, Brenda of Muleshoe, Texas, Kim Black and his wife, Shonda of Amherst, Texas and Clinton Rogers of Muleshoe, Texas; his thirty-four nieces and nephews; and lots of wonderful great-nieces and great nephews.
