Jimmy Lee Shirey died Monday, January 27, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born August 14, 1948 in Littlefield, Texas to James Ernest and Beulah Beatrice (Herrin) Shirey. He married Kathie Brownd in Earth Texas on February 17, 1968 in Earth, Texas.
Jimmy farmed for many years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and loved music. He treasured time spent with his kids and grandkids. Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife, Kathie; his parents; his sister, Mary Jane Hubbard; and his brother, Bill Shirey.
Jimmy is survived by his other half, Elaine; his two sons, Tyson Shirey of Lubbock, Texas and James Shirey and his wife, Brittnee of Lubbock, Texas; his daughter, Angie Bressler and her husband, Stefan of Amarillo, Texas; his brother-in-law, Dickie Brownd and his wife, Elaine of Earth, Texas; and his three grandchildren, Jace Bressler, Kaylee Bressler and Brexton Shirey.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3411 – 73rd Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79423 or the Oneita Wagnon Senior Citizens Center, PO Box 292, Muleshoe, Texas, 79347.
