Obituary for Joe Champouillon
Joe Champouillon, age 70, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Muleshoe. He was born January 30, 1951 in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina to Joseph Charles and Margaret Wuanita (Keene) Champouillon. He married Rhonda Jones in Clovis, New Mexico on August 15, 1992.
Joe served in the U.S. Marines Corp. during the Vietnam War. He was a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas for 39 years. Joe served many families in Eastern New Mexico and Texas, finishing his career with Ellis Funeral Home in Muleshoe. He enjoyed singing in the choir at First Baptist Church in Muleshoe, where he was also a member. Joe is preceded in death by his parents.
Joe is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his son, Philip Champouillon of Winnemucca, Nevada; his daughter, Sarah Champouillon of Clovis, New Mexico; and his brother, Mike Champouillon of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
