Jose Cortez, age 64 of Muleshoe, Texas died July 4, 2020 in Muleshoe. He was born April 25, 1956 in San Juan, Texas to Juan E. and Herlinda (DeLeon) Cortez.
Jose farmed in the Muleshoe community for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Cortez; and a brother, Vicente Cortez.
Jose is survived by his five sons, Jose T. Cortez and his wife, Vivian of Muleshoe, Texas, Fedencio Cortez of Muleshoe, Texas, Michael Cortez and his wife, Nora of Jal, New Mexico, Raymond M. Cortez and his wife, Tanna of Muleshoe, Texas and Israel Cortez and his wife, Ester of Muleshoe, Texas; his two sisters, Juanita Vasquez of Hereford, Texas and Ofelia Martinez of Canyon, Texas; his 18 grandchildren; and his 13 great-grandchildren.
