Obituary for Jose (Joe) Fuentes
Jose "Joe" Fuentes, age 94, of Earth, Texas died Monday, July 27, 2020 in Olton, Texas. He was born March 2, 1926 in Pearsall, Texas to Jose and Nicanora (Gonzalez) Fuentes. He married Julia Bustamante in Levelland, Texas on October 28, 1944.
Joe was a farmer for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia; two sons, Ricardo Fuentes and Joe Fuentes Jr.; two sisters, Trinidad Palacio and Juanita Fuentes; a grandson, Matthew Fuentes; and one brother, Pedro Fuentes.
Joe is survived by his three sons, Guadalupe Fuentes of Earth, Texas, Ramon Fuentes and his wife, Beatrice of Dimmitt, Texas and Robert Fuentes and his wife, Sylvia of Earth, Texas; his four daughters, Delia Martinez of Earth, Texas, Stella DeLeon and her husband, Pete of Earth, Texas, Lydia Gonzalez of Edinburg, Texas and Janie Fuentes of Earth, Texas; his daughter-in-law, Jobita Fuentes; his 23 grandchildren; his 54 great-grandchildren; and his 6 great-great-grandchildren.
