Jose was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Florencio Muniz.
Jose is survived by his wife, Tirsa; his two sons, Raul Muniz and his wife, Veronica of Muleshoe, ,Texas and Jose Muniz of Muleshoe; his two sisters, Julia Markham of Amarillo, Texas and Luz Florez of Muleshoe, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3513 10th Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79415.
