Jose Severo Orozco died Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Muleshoe. He was born February 20, 1929 in Progresso, Texas. He married Arminda Hernandez in Haskell, Texas in 1951.
Jose served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a huge Texas Rangers baseball fan. Jose was a member of the Sagrado Lorozo De Jesus and was a Cursillistas. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church as well. He is preceded in death by his wife, Arminda; his parents; two sisters, Conchita Estrada and Ramona Orozco; five brothers, Delores Orozco, Luciano Orozco, Estevan Orozco, Robert Orozco and Jose Maria Orozco; and three grandchildren, Diznee Orozco, Drew Hodge and Robert Rodriguez Jr.
Jose is survived by his four sons, Edward Orozco and his wife, Teresa of Muleshoe, TX, William Orozco of Muleshoe, TX, Hector Orozco of Canyon, TX and Ismael Orozco of Amarillo, TX; his seven daughters, Maria Garcia and her husband, Alex of Muleshoe, TX, Rose Cuellas and her husband, Jose of Canyon, TX, Angelica Toscano and her husband, Henry of Muleshoe, TX, Fernanda Norman and her husband, Mack of Muleshoe, TX, Ramona Reyna and her husband, Jerry of Amarillo, TX, Marisa Gonzalez of Muleshoe, TX and Devnie Orozco of Muleshoe, TX; his 28 grandchildren; his 63 great-grandchildren; and his 11 great-great-grandchildren.
